Hello. I’m brand new to this theme but I want to say thank you for having such amazing support & documentation! Until I received my login password via e-mail tonight, EVERY SINGLE TIME I entered a search term in google, a post came up in this forum that fixed the issue for me. Mostly quick css entries, which is now pretty long. Anyways, thank you!
On the logo in the header. I do like how it resized when you scroll down, however I have tried everything to get it to display in the size I uploaded it, including the following quick css as well as telling it to display the image at the full size when I uploaded the logo.
.logo a { height: 156px; } .logo { width: 476px; height: 156px; }
Neither of those two worked. I just want my logo to be displayed at 476×156 when it is not shrunken when it is scrolled. A screenshot of the difference:
Then on adding a hotspot to an image on the main page, I have tried adding an image in the hotspot (instead of a number) & it doesn’t add it, it goes through all of the motions of adding it. It lets me select the image but it doesn’t add it to the hotspot info, please see screenshots below. I do click save & also update at the end for the page itself, but no luck. It still displays the blinking 1.
Thanks in advance for your help!
July 30, 2014 at 12:20 pm #297656Oh one quick note, I can use the insert media to add images etc in content section of pages, so I know it’s not an issue with the media editor.
Thanks!
July 30, 2014 at 1:02 pm #297687An update, I am not sure how but now if I hover over the #1 hotspot, I get a popup showing the image I was trying to get it to use as a hotspot over the bigger image. It just started doing it, it didn’t do it before. It was probably from a quick css addition I added for a completely different issue.
What I am trying to do is get that image that shows on hover to come in over the bigger image the hotspot is on & come in from bottom to top or whatever direction, not for it to show the image on hover, if that makes sense. I saw it done on another website using this theme & was trying to see if I could do something similar.
The example site also has text with semi-transparent backgrounds that fade in & out over the image as well. I would like to try this myself as well. It’s a great effect.
The example site is http://www.seatosummitworkshops.com on the header images slideshow, you can see how images display over it as well as text on a semi-transparent background. Can you help me understand how to achieve this? Thank you again!
July 31, 2014 at 2:48 am #298049Hi!
Thank you for using the Enfold theme.
Regarding the logo, please adjust the height of the header on Enfold > Header Layout > Header layout > Header Size. Set the setting to custom pixel value. Adjust the height to 156px. This will automatically adjust the width of the logo.
On the hotspot element, when you add an image via the Add Media button, the image will be added on the tooltip not on the hotspot number.
Cheers!
IsmaelJuly 31, 2014 at 6:54 am #298116This worked perfectly. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you!
July 31, 2014 at 7:03 am #298117Oh but I forgot, I’m not on it tonight I guess……… On the hotspot, if you look at seatosummitworkshops.com, the header images they have, which I guess is a slideshow of sorts, they have images sliding in from all over the place as well as text boxes with css backgrounds. Do you know how I can accomplish that? Is there something in the settings I can use, is it done in a slideshow, or a plugin or something? Maybe I thought it was a hotspot they’re using & it isn’t?
August 3, 2014 at 8:06 am #299276Hi!
This slider was created with LayerSlider. You can create a new LayerSlider ( LayerSlider WP > All Sliders > Add New button ) and then add it to your template with the Avia Template Builder: https://www.clipular.com/c/5401669676302336.png?k=1mh4hbJW4WDrFnWmXrzx__dnONQ
