Hi,
updated to 2.1 this morning – since then, http://www.musikzentrale.net looks horrible on Safari: Fonts look like a very, very poor print, Tabs do not work anymore like on http://www.musikzentrale.net/unterricht/bass/, iconlists are missing some icons, others appear, post slider on the frontpage does not work anymore – and the responsive menu “not showing up” problem still exists.
Since i make heavy use of all those elements and we do have a lot of apple users visiting our site, it would be great to have them back, again. Is there any update in sight solving all those issues? Thanks.
Regards, Sebastian.
September 12, 2013 at 1:34 pm #140878Hi Sebastian,
I just took a look at your site in both Chrome and Safari and am not having any issues with the elements you mentioned. Can you point out a specific page where there is an issue?
What version of Safari and OSX are you running as well.
Regrds,
Devin
September 12, 2013 at 2:05 pm #140879Hi Devin,
thanks for checking.
A friend of mine pointed me to http://www.musikzentrale.net/unterricht/bass/, you will find the error on pages under MUSIKUNTERRICHT –> INSTRUMTENT & GESANG –> pick any. I saw it on a PC with Safari and experienced the same errors.
My friend just called, telling me, it looks really weird on all browsers on MACs (latest OSX and older ones too, different browser`s generation of Chrome, Safari and Firefox) – no tabs, fuzzy fonts etc. Please see http://www.musikzentrale.net/musikzentrale.net-screen.png for an impression.
Would be great to have this fixed. We deal with musicians, unnecessary to mention, that quite a lot of them use macs.
Thanks for your help,
Sebastian.
September 12, 2013 at 2:30 pm #140880PS: I am using Safari 5.1.7 on a Windows 7 PC
September 12, 2013 at 6:34 pm #140881Sebastian,
I am having the same issues with Safari and Chrome. Maybe a webkit thing.
I see that you are experincing the same “thin and ugly” font issue using Safari that I’m having. I will probably end up creating a media queries for different browsers (making the fits BOLD) on Safari and Chrome. Hopefully this helps.
Be happy that at least your nav menu items aren’t going nuts like mine are. Only in Safari and chrome this happens.
Anyways, the support here is amazing and they will help us get to the bottom of this one way or another. I will check back and update you with my progress on this issue.
Sincerely,
Pat
September 12, 2013 at 8:35 pm #140882Hi Pat,
indeed, by far best support ever and up to now, every single problem has been solved. So i am pretty confident that someone will help up us to figure what it is going wrong.
Tomorrow is another day, so let`s see ;-)
Cheers, Sebastian.
September 12, 2013 at 9:42 pm #140883Safari is no longer supported on non OSX computers so we no longer offer support for it either unfortunately.
I’ll tag the other support crew but testing on the most recent OSX version and Safari 6 and Chrome I had no issues. On Windows 7 Chrome, FF and IE i’m also getting no issues.
Regards,
Devin
September 13, 2013 at 5:42 am #140884Hi Devin,
sad news, but something we can handle. But the issue with non appearing icons, poor font rendering etc. exists on Chrome, Safari and FF Macs in their most recent version, as my friend and, in meanwhile some others, stated. So any idea what it going wrong? Any workaround imaginable?
Thanks & regards,
Sebastian.
September 13, 2013 at 7:24 am #140885Hello Devin,
I hate to be a stickler, . . . honestly. But I am running the latest version of OSX, as well as the latest version of Safari 6. And the issue persists for me. This is one of those issues that will cause me to really be stuck if we can’t resolve this. A majority of the people that will view this site will probably use Chrome and FF, along with the iPhone in 3rd.
Chrome seems to be decent enough ti get by. No messed up menu items, although the text is thin. No biggie.
But Safari is super glitchy. Just the menu items. Some are bold and some are not. Would this possibly have anything to do with the font choice you think?
September 13, 2013 at 7:26 am #140886Sorry Devin, just realized I was inside mirzepapa’s ticket. I will head back to min eon the subject. . . .
