    Hello,

I bought a video on VideoHive (Envato) that is encoded using H.264 – which as I understand it is supported by HTML5? I would like to know the best way to use this video on my website as a background video. Can I upload to Vimeo (not sure this is permitted as part of the license agreement for buying the video), or do I need to convert it to another format and upload right to my media library (not ideal given the size of the video)?

I did a lot of digging around and couldn’t find any definitive answers. I was hoping for 1 step-by-step guide of what to do now that I have the video I want to use as the background.

    Thanks in advance!

Regarding formats, i can recommend you this tool to convert it to HTML5 supported formats:
