When using broswer ie8 and I click the magnifying glass icon (search icon) – nothing happens. the search box does not appear. can you tell me how to fix in ie8 or how to hide the icon for just ie8?

Josue? I don’t see a solution at that link. i am not having trouble seeing fonts. The search bar does not open in ie8. Worked before I updated to most recent version of theme and wp3.9.
I checked the site on IE8 and could note that none of the icons (therefore the icon font) are working. What you’d need to do to fix it is put this code in your .htaccess file:

I add the code to the htaccess file but it make no difference. The active fonts only load after I roll-over them. Also when the page first loads or refreshes in the slider image is distorted. But corrects itself when the second slide loads.But my initial problem with the “search bar” has not been addressed. Nothing happens in ie8 when I click on the search icon. No search box pops up.
