is there a way I can have a link to the gallery images to go to different post right now they just have lightbox option
here is the screenshot, also when a add caption it shows a white space in between the thumbnail and big image

1) No, the gallery images just support a lightbox link.
2) Can you post a link to the gallery please? I couldn’t reproduce the issue on the demo page: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/shortcodes/gallery/ or on my test server.
