Hi guys,
Please check out my website: http://italiabathrooms.com/
Highlight ‘Tiles’ on the top main menu and select glass tiles. Then select Glass Tile 1. Now have a look at the breadcrumb structure. Why is it showing “Materials / Sealants & Finishing Products’?
It should be Home > Tiles > Glass Tiles > Glass Tile 1.
> Edit – I had a further look and noticed that it probably has to do with the pages since this portfolio item does not have one. Is there a way to assign specific items to pages so the breadcrumbs pick it up? Your website seems to do it flawlessly.
Thanks
August 30, 2013 at 6:05 am #138154The breadcrumb will always show the parent page(s) of the current page. Make sure that the page hierarchy is correct. You can set the parent page in the right sidebar of the page editor screen (underneath the blue Publish/Update button).
August 30, 2013 at 8:11 am #138155That’s the thing Dude. If you look at my first post, I went from ‘Tiles’ on the main menu at the top, then ‘Glass Tiles’, then ‘Glass Tile 1’.
The breadcrumb is showing:
‘You are here: Home / Tiles / Materials / Sealants & Finishing Products / Glass Tile 1’
I’ve checked the hierarchy of the pages and its fine. Please have a look again.
August 30, 2013 at 8:33 am #138156Actually I can’t reproduce the issue on your page. The breadcrumb shows “You are here:Home / Tiles / Glass Tiles”: http://www.screenr.com/Fe0H
However maybe try to clear the browser cache & cookies because Kriesi sometimes uses sessions: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/breacrumps#post-134714 to generate the breadcrumb for portfolio items
August 30, 2013 at 9:03 am #138157Click on the portfolio item in the ‘Glass Tiles’ section; which is ‘Glass Tile 1’ next to ‘latest products’ at 0:20. Then look at the breadcrumb.

September 2, 2013 at 9:48 am #138159Ok, now I see what you mean. I’m not sure why it doesn’t work but I guess it has something to do with the “ajax content navigator” plugin which will not write/save the right portfolio page id into the session and thus the breadcrumb does not display the correct path. Please try to replace the “ajax content navigator” with the default portfolio grid element and check if the breadcrumb changes.
September 2, 2013 at 10:44 am #138160Yes it works fine with the normal portfolio grid element. Are there any plugins that you can set custom breadcrumbs for portfolio items? Something that can sort this out? Really appreciate it Dude.
September 2, 2013 at 11:39 am #138161Probably not because all breadcrumb plugins use the standard wordpress functions to query the relations between entries and it’s simple not possible for single portfolio items because they don’t have a “parent page” in a common sense.
I think it’s possible to use the “ajax content navigator” portfolio with the enfold breadcrumb function but this would require some custom work and I’d suggest to hire a freelancer for the job.
September 2, 2013 at 11:45 am #138162Thanks. I will have a look online. Care to recommend a freelance website?
September 2, 2013 at 11:59 am #138163Hey!
Personally I didn’t use such a service yet but http://codeable.io/ is very popular.

Peter
September 2, 2013 at 12:33 pm #138164Thanks Dude.
