Sorry to drag this up again, but having a bit of huh? moment here….

As one of the posters, I work with a child theme. When I try the first option of code out locally (XAMMP), it works.
When I add the same lines of code to the functions.php file online in the child theme, it doesn’t work. I don’t see any icons in the portfolio pages.So the first set of code for pages/portfolio :
– does work locally; no icons on normal pages, but icons on portfolio pages.
– does NOT work online? Icons do not show up.The second set of code for AVIA codebased pages:
– makes icons on ALL pages, and works locally and online.But I don’t want icons everywhere, just on the portfolio pages. ;-) What am I not seeing atm????

Never mind, sorry for the noise
Although it is weird the code didn’t work on my end, the client started to select pages where he wanted buttons or not.
As this was becoming a mess quickly, I talked him into having social media sharing on ALL pages.
This works, as mentioned as before, and the client is happy.The code might be a nice added thing to have in a updated version of the theme. Or maybe even some way to check this off for pages like the home page, contact page and alike.
