The client is adding things to the cart (wilderottervineyard.com) from the store and the pop-up says item in cart, but when you go the the cart, it says it is empty. She is using Internet Explorer. I tested this on my machines and it is doing the same thing. It works for me on Chrome and Firefox, however. I want to use this theme for this client because the last theme we used was not compatible with Woocommerce, but this bug has to be worked out!

    Thank you,
    Russ

    Hey russreyes!

I’m seeing the same thing on all browsers currently so I don’t think its limited to a single browser issue. Try going to WooCommerce>System Status and see if there are any warnings. Your/the client’s server may need to be configured to correctly work with the way WooCommerce works.

    Best regards,
    Devin

    Hi Devin,
I checked the warnings and there was a memory issue. I was able to increase the php memory for the site no problem. After much trouble shooting, it appears it is an issue with the session. If you log in to the site, you can add things to the cart and they stay there, regardless of browser. If you are not logged in, the items do not stay in the cart. Is that an issue with the template script or the server side script? I do have the Allow Guest Checkout button checked in Woocommerce.

    Thanks,

    Russ

You can test if its a theme conflict by switching to one of the twenty something themes. The main developer for WC talks about how they handle sessions here which should be helping to overcome any server issues: http://mikejolley.com/2013/12/problems-with-cart-sessions-and-woocommerce/
