Hello – I’ve tried using .png, .ico, and .gif files for my fav icon at http://thecaloriemythbook.com, but sadly no fav icon shows up in current IE browsers. Note that all aforementioned formats work fine in firefox and chrome. Any idea how to make the fav icon show up in IE?

According to this link you should create the image file directly as .ico.
