Multiple Email recipients for the contact form

Hi, just a quick question. Is it possible to enter multiple recipients for the standard theme contact form. I have tired using comma’s and semi-colons but neither work, so I am assuming if i wish to send a completed contact form to multiple people I need to install another plugin – Contact Form 7 seems to be mentioned a lot on this forum.
