    Hi deamon54,

    The Meta widget is part of WordPress core so I would never recommend modifying it.

    What you could do is try and find a plugin that gives you the result or customization you are looking for.

    I do not think it poses problem to WordPress ..

    Indeed it is possible to go through the widget text or arbitrary HTML

    but I wanted to do something clean. :)
