Hello,
First I like to congratulate you for one of the best themes that I’ve seen in a long while…. I purchased it yesterday and I’m really loving it!
I would like to add a couple elements to the avia pagebuilder which I was previously using from the Visual Composer Add-ons plugin. I see that you guys are using one of them (the Info Circle) in the front page of kriesi.at
What’s the required code to add this element to the avia builder?
Thank you very much!
GeorgeJune 12, 2014 at 11:25 pm #278360Hey George!
The info circle thing is custom-made by Kriesi.
Regarding your question, you can not mix Visual Composer with the Advanced Layout Builder, is possible though to extend ALB (add/modify elements) but that would require some extra coding.
Cheers!
JosueJune 12, 2014 at 11:48 pm #278376Hi Josue,
Thank you for the quick reply! I posted a question for help on something that I already have the required code and I’ve also seen it implemented on your own site. The info circle thing is part of the Ultimate Addons as you can see here.
I asked for help implementing it to the Advanced Layout Builder since you guys have already done it…. at least to point me where and how to start. I din’ ask for a recommendation to some coder that can do it for me.
I’m sorry but a recommendation to outside coders is not what I’m accustom to when I request support.

June 13, 2014 at 12:04 am #278383It’s not, it’s a totally custom element made by Kriesi for this website. However, this element may be added to the Layout Builder in the future if the user base wants it so.
Finally, please check our support scope detailed here.
We cant help with installation of WordPress itself, 3rd party plugins that were not part of the theme package or heavy theme customization.
Best regards,
JosueJune 13, 2014 at 12:25 am #278394ok, I’m not going to start arguing about something silly like this.
Could you at least tell me if it is possible to add custom elements to the Advanced Layout Builder and if it is, where I can find some documentation guiding me how to start with?
I’ve been working & designing Genesis themes for a long while and that’s the framework that I’m used to working with. As I mentioned avia & enfold theme is something that I just purchased last night as an alternative to the Genesis themes and haven’t had a chance to really play with it and study it’s files yet.
Thank you,
GeorgeJune 13, 2014 at 5:49 am #278485Hi!
We don’t have any documentation for it outside of whats included in the theme files. You can of course always do what Kriesi did and write your own regular html+js+css and then add it in to a code element.
The Kriesi.at site, while build *on* Enfold is a customized child theme with elements that are custom to Kriesi’s own specific tastes so there are things that aren’t included in the core theme.
If you dig into the theme files look at
enfold / config-templatebuilder / avia-shortcodes
. Each of theme is an element in the ALB. I have a github repo you can fork with so that you can add your own shortcode/layout builder elements to the shortcode folder and they will then be included into the theme here: https://github.com/DevinVinson/enfold-child-starterBest regards,
DevinJune 13, 2014 at 11:37 am #278563Hi Devin,
Thank you! That’s what I was looking for… somewhere to start!Another quick question, if I may. Do you guys have an issue with the accordion slider? I was trying to get familiar with the theme earlier today and the accordion slider doesn’t work, no matter where I place it on the theme, all I see is white where the images and content should be. Inspecting it with Firebug it shows that there is content there but it is invisible. Also when a text block is used before it on the same page as the accordion slider there is a 10-16 second delay before the text is loaded.
The issue I have is exactly the same as this thread with the addition that it slows down the loading of the top of the page text widget.
Thank you again for the info on how to start on my original question!
GeorgeJune 13, 2014 at 6:01 pm #278658No issues that I know of. When I did the demo video and in all of my tests since then I’ve had no issues with it either.
I’ll address it in the other topic however so we don’t get duplicated responses here.
