Hi there. Since the last update the accordion slider has stopped working! It is invisible. When i inspect element via firebug, the elements appear there but they are empty. They also appear on backend when i try to edit them but on front end they are gone!
I disabled every single plugin and got rid of any other scripts that might be conflicting but it’s still not working. This is a huge issue because it has an important element of the homepage. Please help!! I need this working ASAP. I have listed login credentials below:June 10, 2014 at 7:19 am #276874Hey fandragon!
I tried the login in but the login credentials don’t work for me. Please check them again.
Best regards,
PeterJune 10, 2014 at 6:40 pm #277074i double checked and reset the password. It should work now.
June 12, 2014 at 12:06 pm #278021Hey!
Please try to upload a completely unmodified version of the Enfold theme. I think some custom code (i.e. google language switcher, etc.) breaks the accordion slider. I duplicated your template on my test server: http://test.inoplugs.com/code/ and I can’t reproduce the javascript error which breaks the accordion slider on your website.
Best regards,
PeterJune 12, 2014 at 8:35 pm #278249I removed the google language switcher and the accordion still didn’t show. i havent really modified the theme that much, i added the google translate into the top header as a code snippet in the “phone number or small info” field in theme options not the main theme. Only thing i have really modified is the css thats all.
June 12, 2014 at 8:35 pm #278251Also the accordeon was working fine in 2.7.1 and then i updated theme to latest version 2.8.1 and it broke.
June 13, 2014 at 12:46 am #278397I removed the google translate scripts and disabled every single plugin and the acordeon is still not working.
June 13, 2014 at 11:41 am #278565Did you find a solution for this issue? Just purchased the theme and playing with it today, I get the exact same issue, using it with no other plugins activated besides Akismet.
June 13, 2014 at 6:37 pm #278674Hey!
Seems to be something with the vimeo embeds (i’m guessing) since a page I created with just the slideshow and had no issues. I googled the error and found this topic for Vimeo but I don’t see a resolution unfortunately: https://vimeo.com/forums/help/topic:117358
Best regards,
DevinJune 13, 2014 at 7:29 pm #278696I haven’t manually embedded the vimeo. Just using the themes vimeo feature. Shouldn’t the theme’s features be compatible with each other?
June 13, 2014 at 7:36 pm #278701Ok, so i removed all videos, disabled all plugins, removed google script and the accordion slider is still not working. Its not there.
I really need this fixed, please! IT was working fine with all vimeo, google etc in the last update and since i updated the theme its been broken and a huge problem.June 13, 2014 at 9:25 pm #278725This reply has been marked as private.June 13, 2014 at 10:44 pm #278754Hi Devin,
I don’t even have a video in my site. I just di a fresh install of the theme and set only the accordion slider through the Advanced Layout with 4 images that link to 4 pages of the site. Nothing shows up, although the images, content and the links to 4 pages are there as I see them on the code and Firebug.
Also if I set it as a second section after having a text widget (with one html link inside that pulls a search widget from an outside source), the Accordion slider tries to break the top section as the top section takes over 15 seconds to load.
June 13, 2014 at 11:38 pm #278764ok, I think that I found what causes the problem… at least in my case!
The images that are attached to the accordion slider MUST be NO smaller than the image size selected when setting up the slider. Smaller image sizes than what selected causes the slider to break. It works fine if the sizes are larger than those selected.
Could you please check this and let me know if it works for you?
June 13, 2014 at 11:50 pm #278768Yes! That worked for me too. Thanks sdbroker. The weird thing though is that my images were working fine with the previous version of the theme so i dont know whatever they did in the update, they created this bug because before it was all good. also now it squishes the image if its not exactly the size. Before it didnt do that either.
June 14, 2014 at 12:06 am #278769I’m glad it worked! It’s definitely a bug because the same way that it squeezes the larger image it should also expand it if it’s smaller.
I also found a couple more bugs which I will probably create another thread for them once I set the site up. Here’s in brief what the other bugs are:
1) If you attached page links to the images it incorrectly marks them up with a “Blog” schema.org markup. They should be marked with a “Page” schema.org.
2) It correctly marks the image (link) title as heading but it does not attach an h tag to it. It, neither an option for us to attach a title tag exists.
Those 2 bugs are very important for SEO purposes and they should be addressed and also fixed along with the image size bug.

June 14, 2014 at 7:39 am #278842Hi!
1) You can’t use the WebPage markup – it’s already used for the body tag and must not be used multiple times on the same page (same itemscope): http://schema.org/WebPage . The blog markup is the right (and intended) markup in this case because you can use it to group links to other page or post entries and google doesn’t care about the post type of the entry. You can use a filter to remove the markup completely from the accordion if you think it hurts your seo though.
2) We’ll replace the div element with h3. It’s not really required because the headline markup is not limited to h1-h6 headlines but it’s a quick change and it makes sense to display the page/post titles as h3 headlines. I’ll close this thread now because the issue is solved. I’ll report the image size bug to Kriesi.
Regards,
Peter -
