HI Guys,
I’ve been having this problem for quite some time. I’ve been hoping that you’d fix it, but it lingers.
Back in the day, I was able to use the HR/White space content element to fine tune the alignment of pictures text, etc. in different columns. But now it sees that no matter what I set the white space to (e.g. anywhere between 1px and 50px) I get exactly the same spacing.This is not just a single element problem, but happens on every single white space use. It’d be nice if this got back to working properly again. Do you have any suggestions?
I’ve been through the whole deactivate plugins routine, reinstall, etc. so please don’t suggest that.

Can you point where in your website are you trying this?

I pulled most of the offending occurrences. But put two back in to illustrate. Visit http://www.amequipment.com/
scroll down to the section titled “World Class Products and Services That Last” which comes right after a color section pupolated by some of our customers’ logos.The top two image files in the 1/3 width column (a US Coast Guard boat and a a picture of three Light Rail trains) have a 5px whitespace separator and a 15px separator, respectively. You will see the both appear to have been spaced about the same 50px.
(I’m using Firefox 29.0.1, Chorme 35.0.1916.114, and Safari 7.0.4 (9537.76.4), for testing.
But, interestingly enough, I started working on a new home page this morning – (Visit http://www.amequipment.com/new-home/) to see an early draft of the page — I’ve used a whitespace separator above the B&W picture of motors in the 1/2 width left had column titled “DC Motors”. In this instance, the separator works as expected.
Could it be that old pages have legacy code in some element or another that impacts the separators?

JamieJune 8, 2014 at 1:56 pm #276191Hi!
Thank you for the update.
They look the same because of the default margin around the horizontal rule. You can remove those with this on Quick CSS or custom.css:
body .container_wrap .hr.avia-builder-el-last, body .container_wrap .hr.avia-builder-el-first { margin: 0; }
