    Hi,

I get the following error message on my wordpress site.

    “LayerSlider: old jQuery issue

It looks like you are using an old version (1.10.2) of the jQuery library. LayerSlider requires at least version 1.7.0 or newer. If you are using the WordPress version of LayerSlider, you can try out the “jQuery Updater” plugin from the WP plugin depository. …”

I’m not sure why it shows version 1.10 is older than 1.7 :)

This can be removed by installing “Jquery updater” plugin but the problem is this plugin act as the culprit for the layer slides not to be shown in IE 7 and 8 .

Without the plugin, the above error will be shown.

Can you please tell me how to rectify this issue without affecting browser compatibility?

    Regards

    Roshan

    Hey!

Which version of Enfold are you using? Please upgrade to v1.9.1 which is compatible with wp3.6 and it should also fix the jquery error message.

    Regards,

    Peter

    Hi,

Tjanks for the quick reply. My version is 1.7 ..

    I also have another question.

According to this video “Update your theme files via http://FTP.” http://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67209750

If I uploaded theme by going to the appreance -> install theme and upload it … will all the styles I made be removed?

How can I keep the styles made and upgrade the theme as well?

    Regards

    roshan

    Hi roshan,

No, you don’t lose any theme settings as long the theme name remains the same. You can see that in the video right at the end as nothing changes on the front end after the version has changed.

    Devin

    Hi Peter and Devin,

I thank you all for giving me quick support to resolve the issue. I appreciate your help.

I upgraded the version using FTP and the jquery error was resolved immediately.

I also uninstalled the “jquery plugin” as well :)

    Your theme ROCKS!

    Regards

    Roshan
