    I realise I am new to this but I thought it would be really simple to embed a video or audio URL into a post so that it could be streamed. I have tried using mediaelement.js plugin but it puts up a big black box that is cut off half way through and doesn’t work. Can you please tell me the simplest and most reliable way to do it?

    I have looked at other posts on here and tried WP-Audio but my browser firefox told me it doesn’t support it.

    Hi,

    You can directly add the video using the iframe code or the video shortcode.

    [av_video src='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0k3kHtyoqc' format='16-9' width='16' height='9' custom_class='']

    For audio files, you can use the plugin haiku or compact wp player.
