    I am sure this topic has been posted to death but I cannot seem to get the Parallax effect on pages to work properly. I have the setup correct but the background image is super choppy as I scroll up and down with Safari. I would blame it on Safari but when I check your demo page http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/portfolio-item/single-portfolio-fullscreen-slider-3/ it is perfectly smooth. You also have a slider on that page , as do I and there is no problems on the demo.

    FYI, it works fine in Chrome and O.K. in Firefox (but then again it, as stated it looks Great in Safari on your Demo page)

    **I am editing this post as I just discovered the effect works GREAT in “Stretched Layout” mode. I am using the boxed layout and that seems to be the issue.

    So to sum it up, the Parallax effect with boxed layout on Safari do NOT mix well.

    Is there a fix for this?

    Hi,

    I can see the problem on Safari. I tried to fix it but failed, I have no idea why it is not working properly on Safari. Let me tag Kriesi and the rest of the support team. This is what happens on Safari.

    Fullwidth Slider Background Options

    background-repeat: no-repeat;

    background-attachment: fixed;

    background-position: center center;

    Hi,

    The easiest way to QA this issue, would be for you to start with a fresh install , do a dummy data import which should have that same page ( http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/portfolio-item/single-portfolio-fullscreen-slider-3/ ) and then add the same images as the demo sites to your local version of that page. when they are identical , then start adding the css code or customization you want, and you will see where the difference will be. I would compare the source code using something like http://www.winmerge.com to instantly see what makes the demo site different than yours.

    Thanks,

    Nick

    Hi Guys,

    I’m experiencing the exact same issue as rickswearingen. It works perfect in Firefox, but Safari jitters extremely when scrolling the full screen slider.

    I have installed it on my local computer (MAMP) so I can’t send you a preview link.

    Cheers,

    Gonzo

    Hi,

    Does this happen on the demo site as well? Trying to figure out if its an update, or code native to your installs/customizations causing this.. kriesi.at/themes/enfold

    Thanks,

    Nick

    Hi Nick,

    Yes. Using safari and viewing this page: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/homepage/home-v7-one-page-portfolio/ it has the same choppy effect.

    Hi,

    I don’t have an iMac to test this on. But there are others. Please hang in there just a bit more.

    Thanks,

    Thanks Nick for checking into this. As stated before FYI. this does NOT occur if I have the page set as stretched. Only in Boxed mode which is possibly why your sample page of http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/portfolio-item/single-portfolio-fullscreen-slider-3/ works fine for me but the page referred to of http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/homepage/home-v7-one-page-portfolio/ is ALSO choppy on Safari even as a stretched page. I hope you guys can figure this one out as the effect is definitely eye-catching.

    Hey!

    I can see the problem when the layout is set to boxed but I am currently unsure on how to proceed here. this seems to be a bug in safari and I am not sure if there is a way to work around that problem with the current structure.

    I will keep monitoring official safari upgrades and planned bugfixes and see if anything might work, but at this point I cant promise an immediate solution. probably the best solution right now, if you want to use boxed layouts is to make sure not to use the fixed background

    Thanks Kriesi for looking into this.

    I hope Apple comes out with something as well. I bit of uniformity in Browsers would be great!

    Keep up the great work!
