Ever since the switch to Enfold 2.7, I am receive about 5 emails a week from IE 9 and 7 users telling me they cannot read the text anymore.
We use boxed layout, our background picture for the main site is grey striped but the content background is #ffffff.
The font is black and so usually you can read it. Now for IE users, they do not get the white main content background ad so they can’t read black font on dark grey striped.Can you please fix that? Thanks!

Here are some browsershots that show the problem http://www.browserstack.com/screenshots/4c317aa75ebc8703c9a3c124e87bd7de8207ed45

May 13, 2014 at 1:29 am #263683Hi gentlemansgazette!
The theme has never supported IE7 so unfortunately we aren’t even able to test for it working.
For the other issues, first try clearing your caching plugins cache completely as well as re-setting any mified files. There are a number of errors popping up from them not actually rendering and my guess is that with IE they aren’t getting auto filled in to work (chrome will make a lot of incorrect html and css work when it isn’t valid).

DevinMay 25, 2014 at 7:13 pm #269728Hi, I did that but the problem is not solved.
i checked other sites with enfold theme and they seem to have the same issue.May 26, 2014 at 6:57 am #269946Hey!
Thank you for the update.
I checked the website on IE8 and 9 and the content is readable. What I noticed is that the header has a transparent background. Please use this on Quick CSS or custom.css to fix it:
.header_color .header_bg, .header_color .main_menu ul ul, .header_color .main_menu .menu ul li a, .header_color .pointer_arrow_wrap .pointer_arrow, .header_color .avia_mega_div { background: #fff; opacity: 1; filter: alpha(opacity=100); }
Best regards,

I am not usre what you did but the content is not readable. I receive lots of emails from readers and browsershot programs also show that it is not working. I think it has to do with W3TC and your theme.

For me at least, using IE9 on Windows 7 I don’t see what browser shots shows. Maybe its taking the screenshot too early or its an un-updated version of IE9.
This is what I see:
