    I am using WP 3.5.2 with Enfold 1.7.1

    New, fresh install, no modules, no dummy data, etc.

    When I click on Style, and choose one of the predefined color styles, the colors, links, etc does not change.

    I also installed in on another test dummy site, with dummy data installed. Same thing happens, selecting on the of the predefines, does not change any color or backgrounds.

    All folders have 0755 and proper file permissions.

    Am I doing something incorrectly or something I should check?

    Hi axred,

    Make sure that when you click on a style to change it that you are saving afterwards for the first thing. Second, the theme creates a folder and file in your uploads folder which needs to be writable. Try changing it to 775 and even 777 temporarily just to double check.

    Hi Devin.

    I changed the permission to 777. I selected the boxed wood style, click save, the background image does not show, but the solid background appear. The H1, links, etc, does not change, stays the previous color. If I change the color under custom.css, nothing updates or changes.

    Quite puzzled.

    Hi Devin. I think I know what the issue is, something to do with caching with WP. is there something in the template that caches?

    The WP install is a fresh install, no other plugins. And if the cache is preventing it from showing up – where do I go to disable it?

    Hmm, talk to your hosting provider. I vaguely remember someone else having this same issue but solved it by having their host disable the auto caching that was set up. It was one of the wordpress dedicated hosts but the name escapes me at the moment.

    My hosting ISP doesn’t cache anything so that’s the funny thing to. But I found this lovely plugin called Versions http://wordpress.org/plugins/versions/ by ISEQQAVOG ( http://profiles.wordpress.org/iseqqavoq/ )

    It solved all the caching issue and updates your styles and java-scripts right away!

    It wasn’t a permission issue, it wasn’t a server caching issue, just something with WP and browsing not detecing that something updated. So whatever it was, thank you iseqqavoq
