Hello,
I would like my blog homepage just to show a summary or excerpt from the post and then say continue reading with an arrow. Please can you tell me how to change it so the full post isn’t showing?
Can’t seem to find it in the Reading settings or anywhere in the theme editor.
Thanks, Siobhan

You just need to use the more tag. See: http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

July 10, 2013 at 7:39 am #128719Hi Devin,
Thanks for your response and link.
I switched themes from Corona to Enfold so have quite a few blog posts and was trying to avoid any manual editing.
There are excerpt sections on each blog post which are already filled in – should these be showing automatically rather than the full summary?
Thanks, Siobhan
July 11, 2013 at 8:05 am #128720Hi,
Create a page, insert the Blog Post element. Configure the options, look for “Blog Content length”, select “Excerpt with Read More link”. Upgrade to Enfold 1.7.

Ismael
July 18, 2013 at 11:55 pm #128721Hi Ismael,
Thanks a lot for your instructions.
I’ve just done that and it looks fine now – http://etool.net.au/blog/
However when I changed the page on Where do you want to display the blog? in the Enfold Theme settings, it seemed to overwrite this instruction for excerpt, so have left it as select a page.
Also my favicon has disappeared for this new page but it on all my others. Is that because it’s new or do I need to do something else?
Thanks, Siobhan
July 20, 2013 at 9:27 pm #128722Hi,
I wouldn’t use that setting Enfold > Theme Options (set blog page) … Just leave it blank. You can create as many blogs as you want so there is no need to do that anymore.
There is an update out, please install it.
You have some errors generated by your analytics, where you put // in front of the url. And also analytics is looking for a twitter widget that it cant find.
The favorite icon you should just upload and drop in the main theme folder using ftp since every browser today automatically gets it there without a need for any code.
Thanks,
Nick
