Got a problem with easyrecipe plugin. The plugin icon doesn’t show up in the text block in advance layout and if i create the recipe in the default editor and copy and paste the html text from default to advanced the formatting doesn’t come across in the final rendered page.
Is there a fix to getting the plugins to work in the the advanced visual layout?
Thanks

April 29, 2014 at 7:38 pm #257823Hi!
If the plugin isn’t hooking into the editor buttons correctly your best route would be to use the new Code element and add the shortcode there instead of in the text element.

DevinApril 29, 2014 at 9:02 pm #257873Code element didn’t work. When the plugin icon is clicked it opens a window to insert the recipe detail. I can’t get that to work with the code element.
Any other suggestions? Thanks

Do you have WP 3.9? If we’re not mistaken the plugin is not updated to work with WP 3.9 TinyMCE upgrade. Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as stated on our support policy due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not included on the theme package will need to be directed to the plugin author.
Thank you for your understanding.

IsmaelApril 30, 2014 at 4:24 am #258094Sorry last question… Do you have a idea why it works in the standard visual editor but not advanced layout?
i sent the plugin developer a support ticket as well. The problem i see is that the plugin works fine with WP 3.9 in default editor but i have been using the advanced editor to build the pages.
Would they not say, since the advanced layout is part of your theme and not the standard WP that it would be a problem on the themes end?
I appreciate your time in looking into this matter. Im just trying to narrow down where the problem is.
Thank you

April 30, 2014 at 7:58 am #258134As expected, the plugin creator says the latest version is 3.9 compatible and since it works and intended in the default editor there is nothing more they can do. They dont’t support the advanced layout that is included with this theme.
April 30, 2014 at 3:12 pm #258284Hi!
I’m really sorry that you’re having this issue with the plugin but as stated on our support policy, we won’t be able to help you with it. We can only provide minor aesthetic changes and liable in fixing theme related issues. However, you’re using a third party plugin that we are, honestly, not familiar with. Please hire a freelance developer to make the plugin compatible with the theme.
Cheers!
