Hi my clients site http://goo.gl/FpzkL is loading very slow and I’m getting the error message “Webpage not available”. The webpage could not be loaded because the operation timed out. Please let me know what is going on. This is happening on iPad and Kindle Fire.
Thanks much,
Chris
Hi,
It loads fine on desktops, fyi.
These are the things that you can do:
1.) Use this plugin to compressed your css and js files: http://wordpress.org/plugins/bwp-minify/
2.) Use a caching plugin like: http://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/, http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-super-cache/
3.) Optimize your image sizes. There are lots of tutorial on how to do it. Search google “optimize image sizes tutorial”.
4.) Try to use a CDN for static content
5.) Upgrade your hosting service.
Let me tag Devin to check this out.
Regards,
Ismael
Thanks, yes I have w3 total cache which includes minify also. I tested the demo site and it loads fine on the kindle and iPad so I think my issue must be just my site specific. It’s loading fast according to pingdom tools also, so I have no idea what’s going on with tablet side of things. It loads fast on my iPhone as well. Kinda weird so I have no idea?
Thanks much,
Chris
Hey Chris,
I did a quick test on my ipad as well and didn’t have any issues. I don’t really know anything about ipad caching or if it does it at all but perhaps it could be something like that (?) .
If it continues or if you find its on generally other tablets or devices let us know and with a bit more info maybe we can find something.

Devin
Thanks Devin, I think the W3 cache may have resolved it. Not sure since nobody else is reporting it, it could have been just one of those unexplainable glitches?
Thanks much
Glad its working better now.
Let us know if you have any other questions or issues.
Regards,
Devin
