Hello,
I’m trying to create the same style of page that happens when you click the “pages” link from the main menu of the enfold demo (another page appears that has a left sidebar with an additional menu)/.
I have created that page and activated a sidebar on it. But when i try to add a menu (or any widget) it doesn’t go into the sidebar. Instead it aligns right on the bottom of the page after all of the content.
It’s almost as if the menu and any widget is are the width of the whole page and don’t adjust for the menu and therefore are default to the end of the content.
I wish i could share the page link with you but i can’t because we keeping it top secret for a product launch that we are having on May 7th. So i need to fix this by then. Please help
Robert
April 25, 2014 at 2:34 pm #256094Hi rbruski!
Thank you for using the theme!
Those are nested subpages of a page. You can enable it on Enfold > Sidebar > Page Sidebar navigation. All pages that is a child page of a certain page will be listed on the sidebar. You can also use a Custom Menu widget for that. I’m sorry but we really need to see the actual live website in order for us to know the issue. Please make sure that you’re running the latest version of Enfold which is version 2.7.
Cheers!
IsmaelApril 25, 2014 at 5:55 pm #256252Thanks for the details.
I thought that maybe the problem was occurring because i was trying to list a custom menu in the side bar that wasn’t subpages but instead was a main menu with no parents. However the menu still showed just not inside the sidebar but below all of the content. And the same thing happened for other widgets too… not just menus. So i don’t know that this is problem.
Our website is http://www.invisivision.com however the particular page that i’m working on isn’t published because it has confidential information until our launch on May7th. At that point maybe i can post some more information, but until then i’ll have to make a dropdown menu from the main menu.
ThanksRobert
April 28, 2014 at 3:40 am #256897Hi!
It sounds like you might be using the layout builder and have a fullwidth element in your layout which will always push the sidebar down below the content. So if you have a color section, fullwidth slideshow or something like in your layout the sidebar isn’t able to actually go on the side of those elements and you would need to change your layout or go without the sidebar.
Best regards,
DevinApril 28, 2014 at 4:34 am #256900Actually… that may be exactly it. i have a full slider along the top.
however… it’s almost the exact same layout as the sample page has: http://kriesi.at/themedemo/?theme=enfold
when you click on pages from the mega menu you’ll see a full page slider and then below it is a page with a sidebar menu. i’m trying to achieve the same look.Robert
April 28, 2014 at 11:43 am #257000Hey!
Thank you for the update.
Is this the page you’re trying to duplicate? http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/pages/
Please edit the page then set the Layout to No Sidebar. Add the Fullscreen slider on top of everything then insert 1/4 and 3/4 column layouts below. Add the Widget Area element on the 1/4 column layout and the content on the 3/4 column. I hope that helps.
Best regards,
