Is there a way to allow anyone using my site to attach and send files through the site itself?

The specific case is this: I have a PDF form that viewers (I say “viewers” specifically because the site does not have “users”, i.e., user accounts) to the site can download, fill out, and send to me via e-mail, but I would like to give them the ability to attach and send the PDF form directly through the site.

    Thank you!

    Hey Starkos!

There are lots of options to do that via plugins. Search through the plugin repository and find one that has exactly what you are looking for and give it a try :)

    Best regards,

    Thank you Devin,

After reviewing the plugins, I am a little hesitant to allow this option for site users. I am afraid it will leave an open invitation for malicious users to upload irrelevant files that may compromise my site or the security of clients uploading their residency applications. What is your opinion on that please?

    Thanks again!

We really aren’t equipped to answer that kind of question definitively but the simple answer is yes, its risky. Any time you allow the public to add files to your server you need to make sure there are mechanisms in place to protect yourself.
