    What the world is a socket in regards to a theme? I know that in technology, there are network sockets and code sockets, but I’ve never heard of such a thing for wordpress.

    I’m trying to figure out how to to the simple editing of footer widgets and I’m confused what this socket thing is. ;)

    Okay, I see, so you’re calling the Footer Copyright section a “Socket” section – not to be confused with Socket Layer. It’s just a made up term for Enfold.
