Hello, I have been trying all afternoon to install Enfold on my wordpress site. I have downloaded the files (3 times) and have tried uploading enfold.zip directly through wordpress and have also tried many many times via ftp. To confirm – I have extracted the enfold.zip file within the themeforest downloadable files.
I can see the theme listed but when I activate it I get a blank page on both the admin and the live site and cannot get into the back end of wordpress until I delete the enfold theme on the server.
My hosting company is Namesco – I have 80 sites hosted and have never had this problem before. I am running the latest version of WordPress 3.8.1.
Help please – three hours is too long to spend trying to upload a theme!!

April 1, 2014 at 5:05 pm #246145Hey!
Thank you for the info. Please don’t delete the contentslider.php file if that’s what you did.
Did you add any content slider on your website? If you don’t mind, please post the link to the website here.

April 3, 2014 at 7:17 am #246888Hi!
Please try to install the theme via ftp: https://vimeo.com/64927356 . If you downloaded the files from http://themeforest.net we can guarantee that the theme does not contain viruses or trojans.

PeterApril 5, 2014 at 5:10 pm #247810I have broken theme error. The error logs also point to the same error in
/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/contentslider.php on line 394the error states:
PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ”colum’ (T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE), expecting ‘]’If I comment out line 394 completely, then my site will work and I no longer get the white screen of death, but then If I try to go to a slide the site freezes.
At first I thought this might be a problem with some custom CSS in a slide, but I’ve tried a completely new wordpress install, uploaded the newest version of Enfold, and I still get the white screen of death with that error.
April 8, 2014 at 5:59 am #248614Hey!
Try copying the line out, saving the file and then pasting it back in. I can really only guess that the server(s) are getting a hiccup on a character either hidden or otherwise which is from a non-typical server side setting.
If it was a common bug we should have gotten lots of posts on it by now. Being a larger theme, like all of the current top themes on ThemeForest it takes longer to upload and some servers will “timeout” from taking too long. The quick solution is to upload over FTP following the video tutorial on the theme documentation.
Cheers!
