    hey there,

    for my photography portfolio Im creating a one page – website and would love use the masonry gallery for my images.
    Is it possible to use the masonry gallery and at the same time have the option to sort the images in categories, like “wedding” oder “people”?

    I already tried to use the masonry portfolio instead of the gallery, but when you click on one of the images it leads you to the portfolio entry,
    which is on another site … but I would like to have everything on one page.
    The images I will show work without description, title or other words, so it would be great to use the masonry gallery
    with the option to sort the images by categories & wenn you click on one image it opens in a lightbox, so that you don’t have to live my “one page design”.

    I hope I explained it the right way & theres any chance to solve my problem/ get this feature.

    Hey coeval!

    No, this is not possible. The main reason is that wordpress attachments/media files do not support categories/terms by default and thus you can’t use the categories to filter them. From a technical point of view it’s not impossible to implement such a feature but it would require some advanced theme code customization.

    I’d like to achieve the same functionality as Danny. Would it be less intensive to add a lightbox feature to masonry gallery?
