Best regards, RemoMarch 8, 2014 at 11:27 pm #234293Hi 10-der!
How are you? I hope you’re doing well today.
You have a very old version of the theme. The tutorial is only applicable with the latest update of Enfold. Please download version 2.5.4 on your themeforest account then update the theme via FTP. Watch this video by Devin: http://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67209750

IsmaelMarch 9, 2014 at 5:33 pm #234394Hi Ismael,
thank you, I’m fine.
I upgraded to 2.5.4. Now, I can see all the pictures at the portfolio grid (before I couldn’t) and the portfolio site with texts, accordeons etc. But there are still no images at the galleries.
What do you suggest to do next?

Have you tried to recreate the gallery itself? If I am not mistaken there is a lot of change on the gallery shortcode so you might have to recreate it from scratch. Can you please give us a link to the actual page with the gallery?
Cheers!

Please make sure that the “English” version of the entry is translated independently. If necessary click the button on the post editor screen: http://www.clipular.com/c/5229498811285504.png?k=P7dw2lW-PH_-jjXtJo1jjvTRyjE
Then click on the gallery element and make sure that the right images are selected. Maybe you also need to install this plugin: http://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/media-translation/ otherwise you can’t translate the images/attachment entries.

Before I start to look into the issue – please update WPML to the latest version (I think 3.1.4+ is the latest version) and also update all extensions. Also update Enfold to the latest version (2.6.1).

I can’t access the admin page because the server requires an authorization. Please note that you must not block the wp-admin folder access because the wordpress ajax api requires some files located within the wp-admin folder (i.e. wp-ajax.php) and if you block the access to the directory the ajax calls will fail and some features and/or plugins (i.e. woocommerce) won’t work.

Please create me an ftp account. I must modify the enfold/config-wpml/config.php file to debug the code but I can’t use the default theme editor (gives me an access denied error).

Ok, after debugging the code for an hour I found the problem. It seems like WPML didn’t translate many of the existing images yet (see http://www.10-der.ch/wp01/wp-admin/upload.php where it lists 82 German images but only 8 English entries). Because of the missing translations WPML is unable to show the images. I now uploaded an existing image again ( Fotos aus der Schokoladeproduktion von Camille Bloch Bild: Remo Zehnder ) and now WPML created a translation of this attachment for each language. This image also shows up on the translated website: http://www.10-der.ch/portfolio-item/industriefotografie/?lang=en – obviously because a translation of this image exists in the database. All other images are not translated and thus the slideshow can’t show and query them.
I recommend to ask the WPML support staff if you can translate the existing images/attachments somehow without re-uploading the images. If not you probably must delete and re-upload all existing images otherwise the translations are missing and you can’t use the images on the translated websites.
Best regards,
