Since installing the Enfold theme on http://www.toiletsforsale.com in Nov 2013 my bounce rate has fallen from an average of 40% (on previous theme) to an average of less than 3% with the Enfold theme. This is great news if it is accurate but my developer believes this is not accurate and is due to the Enfold theme and the way the pages load. Can anyone clarify this? I use Google analytics.
thanks
Pat
Hey whitstablesunsets!
What do you mean the way the page load? Bounce rates come from visitors that don’t interact with the website. Due to the fact that you redesign the website using Enfold, maybe users are more interested with the website now because of the improvements.
Cheers!

hi Ismael – yes thats what I thought but the decrease of bounce rate from 40% to 3% average may be too good to be true! Is there any way the Enfold templates could be causing 2 loads of the page/content causing the Google analytics to mis report the bounce rate? are you able to tell by looking at the source code of http://www.toiletsforsale.com?
Pat
Hey!
No, that is not possible. Enfold is using shortcodes to display elements within a SINGLE page. It doesn’t have any resource or function to load two pages at the same time. Please ask the google forum or community about this. They can give you better explanations why the bounce rate decrease on so many levels.

Ismael
