    I want to disable the PrettyPhoto lightbox so that I can use a different gallery, I can do this successfully by modifying the avia.js file. Since I use the Enfold child theme I wondered if it was possible to have the modification in the child-theme only so that it wasn’t overwritten by future Enfold theme updates that changed avis.js.

    Hey Jhon,

    Download this child theme made by Peter: http://www.mediafire.com/?05ho02ecut516hu use it as a starting point which deactivates the standard lightbox and loads the fancybox script instead.

    Do I still need to deactivate the PrettyPhoto lightbox in the parent avia.js?

    Hey!

    No, the child theme will remove all PrettyPhoto references and you can use it to implement a custom lightbox script.
