Hey guys.
I am wondering on the status of this bug fix documented here.
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/fullwidth-masonry-gallery-image-loading-issue/I just updated to wordpress 3.8 and enfold 2.4.4 and I still get this behavior. I have not added the bug hack code again. If figured this would be addressed by now after the 4.3 and now 4.4 updates. But it seams this wasn’t addressed. And the update wiped the fix. For reference. When a large (many photo) gallery is being populated for the first time (uncashed) if you don’t scroll down at all, after load is finished and you then scroll down most often things look good. But if you scroll down before the load finishes then photos start to overlap each other all over the place. A page refresh or re-size fixes. Any word on when this will be fixed in a native theme update.

Thanks
January 9, 2014 at 5:39 pm #207518Hi allegrabillings!
I can’t seem to get the issue to happen on your site. Even when trying to force the items to load in before they are finished which is mostly prevented by the load more not showing until they have all fully loaded in.
Is this with a specific browser or on a specific browser/OS combination?
Best regards,
DevinJanuary 9, 2014 at 6:47 pm #207568I just tried it on a few apple machines with chrome, firefox, and safari an it all worked well. I then tried it on a different windows machine (xp with chrome browser) and it worked also. I then tried it on my personal machine, (win7 chrome) and I overlapped a stack of photos. I wonder what it could be that causes this to happen on my machine?
January 10, 2014 at 1:16 am #207729Hi!
I have just checked your website on Chrome version 31.0.1650.63 m on Win7 but i do not get the issue as well. It may be a browser plugin that is causing the issue. Please try deactivating them and check if that helps

YigitJanuary 10, 2014 at 6:59 pm #208096I was running the extentions live reload and clear cache shortcut. So I disabled them and the behavior doesn’t change. It’s weird I don’t know what else about my machine could be causing that.
January 10, 2014 at 9:58 pm #208207Strange, I have the same setup (W7 and Chrome 32) and am not getting it. What about with an incoginto window? Do you get the same issue there?
January 10, 2014 at 10:40 pm #208221do you mean not using them or try using them? I haven’t ever used an incognito window, is there a setting that engages this by default when creating a new tab with the button at the top?
Well at least other people aren’t experiencing this, hopefully. I just wish I could figure this out. Driving me nuts.
This is probably not the case but I did modify the masonry_entries.php file
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/display-media-item-title-in-the-lightbox/#post-183506So if you guys addressed this issue and changed that code then when I updated it wouldn’t be taking effect. This cant be the reason though as you would be experiencing it also. It just seems to be my computer
January 10, 2014 at 11:28 pm #208251control+shift+n to open a window in incognito mode while using Chrome. It disables extensions by default and somewhat is like browsing from another computer (no cache or user settings).
January 13, 2014 at 7:06 pm #209115Dang. I tried that and still get the overlap of photos.
January 14, 2014 at 6:12 am #209324You may want to try re-installing Chrome and see if that helps. If you aren’t getting reports from users that its an issue and we aren’t seeing it either then at the very least it is probably not something that will effect your users view of the site.

April 23, 2015 at 7:02 pm #433696This reply has been marked as private.April 23, 2015 at 7:07 pm #433702btw : i decided to fix the amount of images i have in the masonry (not all – but to set it to 12 in this case) –
and i think this helps in my casebut what if i have more than 100 images ?
April 27, 2015 at 4:21 pm #435366Hi!
I don’t recommend doing that. It’s going to take your users a long time to download 100 images. It would be best to use pagination or the “Load more” button.
