    Hi!
I’d like to use yoast wordpress seo plugin to generate xml sitemap.
Is there a way to discourage this plugin from indexing links that bring to the ones like http://www.website.com/shortcodes, /pages or something similar?
Please, let me know something about, thanks.

    Hi dalcnetsrl!

I believe setting those pages as drafts will prevent them from being listed as live pages. Otherwise you would need to ask on the Yoast SEO support forum if you are looking for a plugin specific route.

    Best regards,
    Devin

Well, Devin… thanks for reply. I noticed that also Google XML Sitemaps behaves like yoast wordpress seo and even if /shortcodes or /pages links are already set as drafts they are shown in the sitemap. Any other suggestion?
    Thanks.

    Hey!

Yes, on the editor page search for the “WordPress SEO by Yoast” option field, select the “Advanced” tab and then you can include/exclude a page into the xml/html sitemap by selecting the option from the dropdown: http://www.clipular.com/c/4726047408914432.png?k=ETGLup5BAZDITmH5As9v6ZgNj70

I did what you suggested, but it seems that it doesn’t work like it should. I must double check settings and sitemap results… As a matter of fact, there’s no other way to solve it unless to do so. Right?
    Thanks!

    Hey!

Yes, that is correct. The plugin settings are the only way I know of controlling how the plugin reads the site/outputs its data.

    Cheers!
    Devin
