I am using the Video Media Element and entering the YouTube URL which works bu I want to remove the related videos at the end. When I use &rel=0 the video is no longer displayed just the link. Is there a filter/action I can add to the child theme function file to add this?
Good question. Hope someone can answer your question. It would be nice if a video could be embedded in this section.

You’d have to put the video in HTML (using the iframe code), because if you put it as a Media element, it will get its URL attributes stripped from the generated code, that’s WordPress behavior, not theme related.
