child-theme, modify – config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/textblock.php?

Hi,

I would like to have the functionality that allows me to put a custom id on a textblock element, similar to the color-section functionalty.

I did make this work by modifing the textblock.php file in the above directory on the parent theme.

Is it possible to just do this on a child theme? I have tried duplicating the file structure and then copying textblock.php and modifying that, but it doesn’t work. Is this possible? If not this way how do you make major modification to a child-theme?
