    I wanted to know if it is possible to link a portfolio item to a specific page or post instead of the media that is shown in the portfolio. Or is there another way to have a filterable style gallery that will show an image and link to either a post or page.

    Hey RDCSI!

    You can use the “Overwrite Portfolio Link setting”. Switch it to “Define custom link”. You need to add the post or page url manually.
