I have a problem with Display Blog Post option on a Blog Page with the Blog Page Element.
Trying to exclude Recipes category from the main Blog feed with no luck. Here are the current settings:“Do you want to display blog posts?” = > “Display entries from a custom taxonomy”
“Which Entries?” = > “Category” + Selected all categories except the one we want to exclude (i.e. Recipes).This doesn’t seems to work.
On the other hand, I’ve created a Recipes page with a new Blog Page Element to showcase only Recipes and it works. Here are the settings:
“Do you want to display blog posts?” = > “Display entries from a custom taxonomy”
“Which Entries?” = > “Category” + Only Recipes category is selected.Am I overlooking something?

Do you have multiple categories on a single post? It will still show the post with the Recipe category if it has another category that is not excluded. Please give us a link to the website.

Thanks for your reply. No, that was the first thing that I checked. All Recipes posts belong to a single category, Recipes.
Hi!
My guess is that the “blog” page is set from your theme options which doesn’t actually use anything you do on the specific page. So even though you are adding a blog element, the blog feed is getting set automatically.
Try choosing no page from the theme options for blog and see if it works then.
