    Since Enfold uses your own Avia builder, what happens to my content if I change this theme down the road? I notice on sample pages that there is no actual content inserted when I look in the default editor. I tried inserting a layer slider shortcode into the default editor and nothing happened. When I tried the insert shortcode, it didn’t have layer slider as an option. It seems like this theme is built specifically to use the Avia builder, is this the case?

    Hi fluxappeal!

    Right now yes, you would lose the content. The shortcode generated pages (advanced layout editor) store all of the data outside of the visual editor.

    Eventually Kriesi will be releasing the advanced layout editor as a stand alone plugin. If you look at the theme files its already packaged that way it just hasn’t had the final round of polish and bug fixing to make it portable.

    Thank you Devin. It looks like a good theme for those who don’t want to deal with code, but moving, upgrading or customizing looks to be tricky. I have reservations about being married to a specific theme or framework, I suppose I should have looked a bit deeper before buying.
