Hi, the google maps widget doesn’t seem to be finding the address I input. I’ve tried a couple of different addresses. I enter them in google maps, first, to make sure they come up there, and I’ve tried copying the address format directly from the Google maps output, to be sure it’s not an address formatting issue. Any clues for me? I have it on this contact page via a custom widget (I’ve tried doing it in a normal/footer widget, too.
Hi sky19er!
What are the coordinates (latitude/longitude) of that location?
Cheers!
Josue
Oh, I see, the “click here to enter an address” button wasn’t working, so I entered the address in the route field. Now the problem is that I can’t get the exact coordinates for my address. When I enter my address, right click and choose “what’s here”, it gives me coordinates for a slightly different address. The address I need is 789 Sherman Street, Denver, CO 80203.
Thanks!
Hey!
You can get the coordinates with a tool like this: http://universimmedia.pagesperso-orange.fr/geo/loc.htm

Awesome, perfect — thanks! Sorry I didn’t find that on my own. Any idea why the “click here to enter address” button doesn’t work? It just jumps me to the top of the widgets page.
Hi!
You don’t need to click that button if you are using coords:

I know, but it would save a step if that button worked, and it would be easier for the layperson/client to make updates if needed. So, the question was, do you know why that button isn’t working?
Hello,
That button works on my end, maybe it’s a plugin conflict on yours, try to deactivate all third party plugins to see if it gets fixed.

Josue
I deactivated all my plugins and that didn’t seem to fix it — maybe something built into the Enfold theme? Anyway, I’m not too worried about it, if you want to drop it. Thanks, anyway.
