opening pdf in text widget in a new window (target="_blank")

Hi!

I’ve used target=”_blank” in a multilingual text widget but it doesn’t open my pdf in a new window. It seems to me it is a rather normal html-text-widget in the sidebar of the Enfold theme.
I couldn’t find a matching solution in the forums. In the slideshow there’s a similar link and that works fine.
I’m using WPML but I don’t think that has anything to do with it.
