    I’m sorry to be asking about the horrible IE8 – but it seems there are still a number of people using it, 4.6% according to W3 Schools :-(

    On my Home page everything looks and works ok.

    On any other page, the logo is much larger (It is shown at full size) and the menu runs through it.

    Do you have any conditional CSS or something else to stop this happening?

    I am building my site behind a maintenance screen so can’t give you a URL, but I can set up a WP login if that might help.

    Here is a screenshot;

    Any help much appreciated :)

    Hey hawea74!

    Do you have the latest version of Enfold? I think the IE8 issue with the logo is fixed on the latest update.

    Cheers!

    Hi Ismael,

    Thanks for getting back to me. I have;

    Enfold Child Version 1.0
    Enfold Version 2.3.2

    Under Enfold Child > Theme Update I have it set to alert me when a new update is available. I got one about a week ago but it is showing “No Updates available” now.

    So it’s a known issue with IE8 and logo / menu ?

    Is there anything you can give me to fix it ?

    My client unfortunately uses IE8 on a home computer so I can’t show him anything until I get this fixed :)

    Hi again Ismael,

    I just went and looked again in IE8 (which I do via Parallels on the Mac) and that logo / menu issue flashed *briefly* and then displayed as it should.

    Don’t know why but it works now :) – can’t have been a cache thing as the first time I ever tested it in IE8 was yesterday when I saw the original issue.

    Anyway…

    Just one more thing which is a bit related – in the header / breadcrumb element below the logo, the current page shown under the logo doesn’t align centre-vertical like the breadcrumb does on the right. It sits up high for me in IE8 and Firefox on the PC. OK in PC Chrome and all Mac browsers.

    Do you have any IE / FireFox fix for this (if indeed it is happening for you) ?

    Screenshot is here;

    Thanks again for your help and apologies to call you out on an issue which somehow fixed itself while I was checking it again :)

    Hey David!

    Please try adding following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under Styling tab and adjust

    .title_container .main-title { top: 2px; }

    If that does not work for you, please post the link to your website when you launch it so we can provide a fix for it. I do not have such alignment issue on my installation

    Hi Yigit,

    Yes I can certainly move the main title with that css but it also moves it on the browsers where it originally looks ok :)

    I tried a conditional hack but would rather not use those.

    I think I will just hide title container altogether – thanks for your help :)
