I just created a slider and added a video I hosted on Vimeo. In the backend it works just fine. In the front end once the slider loads the video appears then immediately disappears while the animations come in.
I checked every parameter within the layer embedding the video, to see if I didn’t set the length yet nothing changes.
I wanted the video to autoplay immediately when loading the slider so i put it on Vimeo to get the embed code with the autoplay, yet it disappears. The strange thing is that a couple of months ago I added another slider, and the vimeo video works just fine. I tried copying that slider and replace the old embed code wit the new video, yet nothing: the video disappears upon showing up in the slider.
Did any change occur with Layerslider supporting autoplay which I am not aware of or what could the problem be?
It’s a major issue, since I am due to publish the page in a few hours so any urgent help is much appreciated.Page is http://vacationrentalsecrets.com/marketing-master-class/
Thx

How did you add the video? You can add a link to the vimeo video, it will open in a lightbox when clicked. Create a new layer then switch to Div / Video. Add something like this:
<a href="http://vimeo.com/64927358"><img src="IMAGE URL HERE"></a>
Or you can add the iframe code.
<iframe src="//player.vimeo.com/video/64927358" width="500" height="281" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe> <p><a href="http://vimeo.com/64927358">Enfold - Advanced Layout Editor (short)</a> from <a href="http://vimeo.com/devinvinson">Devin Vinson</a> on <a href="https://vimeo.com">Vimeo</a>.</p>

I originally added the iframe code generated by Vimeo with the autoplay feature within the Div/Video in a distinct layer, as you said, but I got the problem I mentioned:
<iframe src=”//player.vimeo.com/video/75953092?title=0&byline=0&portrait=0&autoplay=1″ width=”600″ height=”338″ frameborder=”0″ webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe>
It is fundamental that the video plays automatically upon loading the page and slider, since it’s a Landing Page for a sale and prosepcts must not click on the video to play. It must start automatically. I don’t know why it disappears instead. I tried deactivating all plugins, yet no changes.
Any clue?
Thanks a lot!
Antonio

The the video via iframe then go to Global Settings > Slideshow > Automatically play videos > Turn it on.

IsmaelOctober 6, 2013 at 11:48 am #171118Hi Ismael,
the setting was already turned on before. It doesn’t work… I have no clue why this seems to work in the backend yet it disappears in the front end.
What do you see? http://vacationrentalsecrets.com/marketing-master-class/
In every computer I have, with every browser the behavior is always the same: page loads…video appears and disappears immediately.
As I said I deactivated all plugins, tested it and nothing changed. What could it be?
