hi
My site is suddenly not displaying the Oswald google font for my headings.
I’ve looked through everything, trying with css and the advanced styling but nothing changes it. cleared the cached, etc.
see: https://imgur.com/undefined
It has been working fine for years and hasn’t been updated in a few weeks.
Can you see what the issue is, or where I can set the proper font?
thanks
NancyDecember 30, 2025 at 9:20 pm #1493596Hey Munford,
It’s working on my end, but the CSS on your site seems to be loading slowly. You can try to temporarily deactivate file compression and activate the option to delete old CSS and JS files under Enfold->Performance to see if that changes anything.
Best regards,
RikardJanuary 26, 2026 at 11:34 am #1494314Hi
I tried that and am still seeing a default font in the heading instead of Oswald. https://imgur.com/a/ulwU9ks
I found an error in the css that I corrected but it’s still not right.
It looks OK in an incognito window at first but when I click around it defaults again.
Can you take another look?January 26, 2026 at 1:03 pm #1494324I just noticed that in an incognito window the font is correct until I click accept cookie compliance and that box closes, and then it defaults to the wrong font. https://imgur.com/RJcX26A
when I accept the cookies and click on another page: https://imgur.com/5lnI9d0
Is there something that is (suddenly) blocking the font from loading? It’s just a basic google font.
thanks
NancyJanuary 26, 2026 at 4:16 pm #1494336Hi,
Thanks for the update. It’s showing Oswald on my end before and after accepting cookies. Did you try a different browser and/or machine?
Best regards,
RikardJanuary 26, 2026 at 4:26 pm #1494342i have tried on multiple browsers and it’s the same.
very strange as this site has been running for years just fine.
on safari and firefox also it changes after I accept the cookies and go to another page.-

January 27, 2026 at 8:51 am #1494359Hi,
Thanks for that, but I still can’t see any problems on my end. If you need further help, then we’ll need a sure way of reproducing the results that you are seeing on your end.
Best regards,
RikardJanuary 27, 2026 at 11:05 am #1494364I don’t know how you can reproduce it. It’s the same way on my mobile – the font is ok until the cookies are accepted then if I reload the page or click to another one the font is wrong. What can I do? Is there another way to force the font to display? If I change the font in the general settings to something else, then it defaults to a serif font, not the one I chose, so something is wrong.
Can you check the backend for me?
thanks for your help.January 27, 2026 at 2:40 pm #1494374Hi,
Thanks for that, but I’m still seeing the correct font. I checked on my phone as well, and it’s displaying as it should there too. There’s nothing in the theme which would serve different fonts for different users, or not at all for some.
Best regards,
RikardJanuary 27, 2026 at 2:43 pm #1494375I’m not sure why I am seeing a default font, or when I change it in the heading font it doesn’t change.
In general, is it better to set the heading font in the general settings or in the advanced settings? In this case, I have done both.January 27, 2026 at 3:31 pm #1494377you like to have the oswald font for them? How did you embed the font? via Font-Manager / selfhosted or just by choosing it form the drop-down on Enfold – General Styling – Fonts ? i do not find any @font-face rule
i can find a redefinition of ::root { --enfold-font-family-heading:'oswald',Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif }but if there is no loading of oswald then the Helvetica is loaded
by the way – what is hu-blocked – i can see a block of google webfonts – maybe that is the reason for it.

PS i can reproduce it – before consent – and after reload – one looks more condensed than the other one.
PPS: i recommend using a selfhosted font – by font-manager of Enfold
January 27, 2026 at 4:51 pm #1494381I selected the font from the Enfold – General Styling – Fonts and I think the cookie compliance is (suddenly) blocking it.
I uploaded it and it’s fine now.
In the future – do I always need to self-host? I haven’t had issue with this before but maybe it’s GDPR rules changing.
Thanks for your help!
NancyJanuary 27, 2026 at 4:57 pm #1494382The selfhosted Font-Files are the the gold-standard in beeing GDPR compliant. ;)
