    We have a new website built on Enfold. We noticed a few strange things with this build. In particular, we have a color sections with background on the “footer page” that when we open them to edit, the screen just has a blank white color section with no content. We waited a very long time to see if it would load and it never did. We have tried 3 different browsers and I purchased a brand new theme from ThemeForest and uploaded it, click REPLACE ENFOLD with the Extraction to see if that works and it did not.
    Can you help? I can make an admin login for you to look if you think you can help.
    Please let me know. Love, Love, Love this theme.

    Hey Madison,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    Did you add any custom html, scripts, or code to the color section? Please try disabling the compression options and cache plugin, then check the page again. If the issue persists, please provide the login details in the private field so we can investigate further.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Thank you in advance.

    THE PAGE THAT HAS THE ISSUE WITH THE COLOR SECTION IS – “footer” there is only one color section there with some columns.

    When I need to make any changes to the background or setting of the color section, I have to make a new one and make adjustments, pull the columns into the new one, then delete the old one. It won’t let me edit the color section element itself.
    I have purchased a new/latest theme and uploaded it to the server and extracted the zip – replace the existing.
    We do have a child theme in place as you will see.
    Thank you – great theme.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    The Code Blok element containing the map embed doesn’t load on our end either. We tried saving the content of the footer page as a template, but it failed. Have you tried deleting the Code Block element?

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    The issue I am having is if I click on the COLOR SECTION on that page to edit the colors or overlay on the image, nothing opens. I can edit all the columns, text, code… the COLOR SECTION itself is my issue.
    Does that help?
    Thanks

    but it does not belong to : madisonstudios.com ? with that enfold version 4.8

    #1474598

    It was on the https://new.fiermanlawfirm.com/ site we are creating. I put the crendentials in the private section. The footer page is the one with the faultly color section in it

    #1474599

    So it’s about the footer page as a page in the frontend not loading the background; because in the frontend of the other pages you can see the background of that footer section.

    could you please link the single page link for the footerpage?
    f.e.: https://new.fiermanlawfirm.com/footer-page

    #1474600

    If you login to the backend, go to the FOOTER page, click on the EDIT link on the COLOR SECTION, you will see only a blank white box, nothing to edit.
    There is a background pic with a color overlay in it and set to FIXED. The client is asking for a change in the OVERLAY and we can’t make the change.
    Please let me know if that helps.
    Thanks
    Chris

    i’m participant as you are- so no private content is readable for me.
    But maybe it is enough to see the single frontend page.

    btw. as an interim solution, you can use the Quick CSS rule:

    #top #footer-page .av-section-color-overlay {
      opacity: 0.5;
      background-color: #185cc5;
    }

    PS : what if you just go to enfold footer settings and remove the settings on “Default Footer & Socket Settings” to default behaviour. Then open that page – edit – save – and switch then back to footer page setting.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your patience, when I edit your footer page color section I see a 403 server error for your admin-ajax.php
    When I copy your footer page to my test site it works correctly with no error.
    This could be many server issues, first I would look at your low server settings for:
    PHP max input variables
    PHP time limit
    Max input time
    :
    Screen Shot 2025 01 05 at 9.37.18 AM
    try updating to these:
    Screen Shot 2025 01 05 at 9.39.12 AM
    There are other possible issues for a 403 error on admin-ajax.php, such as server Mod_Security or custom rules in your .htaccess file, which you have:

    Thank you for the detailed response. When I went to the server settings, this account is on a Plesk server. I went to the PHP Settings and tried to match what I saw in your screenshots and adjust. I made a screenshot BUT CAN’T see where to attach it. It did not match your screen. I made the changes that I could but still not working
    Sorry this is a pain. Chris

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    The issue I am having is if I click on the COLOR SECTION on that page to edit the colors or overlay on the image, nothing opens.

    We temporarily removed the Code Block element inside the Color Section, and it seems to be working again. What map embed script did you place in the Code Block element? You may need to create a custom shortcode for the embed script or use a snippet plugin instead of directly embedding the map in the Code Block element.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Thank you. I replaced the code block with the google map embed code with a widget. I made a widget called MAP and used the HTML element in it with the same google map iframe embed code and it works. I can see the map on the site and still click and edit the COLOR SECTION. Appreciate as alway your help. Great theme! Chris
