I have custom widget sidebars set up and assigned to different pages. For some reason, some custom sidebars are working correctly and others, even though they are assigned to the page, are showing the default sidebar. Any ideas why they might not be working?

    Hey luckyfish,

Where can we see and reproduce the problem that you are having?

I’m not sure I could show you this problem. I’ve been using this theme for a very long time and am very comfortable with it, but I don’t know what’s causing this issue. The custom sidebar areas I created aren’t showing up after I’ve assigned them to the page. It’s showing a default widget area. I’ve refreshed every cache I could think of and even on my server at SiteGround. One of the sidebars is working correctly, but it doesn’t have any settings that are different. I’m very confused.

In the enfold child theme settings this is what it says, but it’s not corresponding to this

    “Create New Sidebar Widget Areas
The theme supports the creation of custom widget areas. Simply open your Widgets Page and add a new Sidebar Area. Afterwards you can choose to display this Widget Area in the Edit Page Screen.”

I don’t check sidebars on this site all the time so I’m not sure when this started happening, but the theme is up to date and so is WordPress.

Let me know what I can show you that might help me track down this issue.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

Have you tried selecting a specific widget area in the page’s Layout > Sidebar Settings? Please provide a screenshot using platforms like Savvyify, Imgur, or Dropbox, or provide the login details in the private field, including the link to the pages with the issue.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

Yes, Ismael. I’ve selected the specific widget area in the page’s layout. I’ve been using this theme since 2016 so I’m very familiar with it. The super odd thing is one page it works and it doesn’t work on other pages. The widget areas (one that works and doesn’t) have the same widget content so it doesn’t appear to be conflict with plugins. I looked at the code and I’m not seeing anything there.
Basically, setting the specific widget area in the page is not corresponding. I’m not sure where to look to fix that.

I’ve shared a couple images where you can see I have the setting correct and another picture showing it’s not pulling in the correct sidebar.

    Hi,

Thanks for that. Could you share login details to the site in question in private? Also please post direct links to pages where the sidebars are not working as they should.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

Did you install a widget logic plugin? Have you tried deactivating the plugins temporarily? Let us know once the login details are ready.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
