Thanks so much for the new features, so glad to see this theme continue to grow.
One question: In your book demo scenario, for example, what if you have 2000 books. Do you need to edit each and use the Advanced Layout Builder to load the custom template for each individual post? Is there a way to assign a custom layout template to a custom post type globally? This would be really really useful, otherwise this new feature is really tedious to use if you have any post type with a large set of posts.
In other words, in the demo you provide, all books would be assigned to show with the custom layout template Books in a single setting rather than editing each post. I really hope this is available!
It would also allow custom templates to show “{wp_post_content}” and “{wp_post_excerpt}” which would be useful in custom data brought in from another source.
Hey i9design,
Thank you for the inquiry.
You will still need to insert the Custom Layout element into each post. However, when you need to make changes to the layout, you can simply update the custom layout, and the changes will be applied globally. This can be combined with the dynamic content feature to create different layouts for custom post types.
Best regards,
Ismael
