    Dear Kriesi Team,
after the theme update from version 5.6 to 6.0 the page speed index decrease radical for the mobile version.
Is this problem known and is there any solution yet?

    Hey ThiloKiefer,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

According to the PageSpeed Insights tool, the site is significantly impacted by LCP (Largest Contentful Paint), which, in this case, is the first color section. This issue might be related to the background image, which is quite large at 3984×897 pixels for desktop and is definitely not recommended for mobile devices. We recommend reducing the width of the image to less than 1500 pixels for desktop and using even smaller dimensions for mobile devices. If possible, to further improve performance, consider upgrading your hosting plan or subscribing to a CDN provider.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

so first of all thanks for the quick reply.
    Regarding the picture:
    – The picture size is the same for more than 2 years and didn’t changed. So this can’t be the problem.
    – CDN: Somehow our CDN io.wp.com is lost (we don’t understand why it is gone / is there a relation to the enfold update???). But even after activating the WPRocket CDN performance is slow.

Even without or small picture the performance is slow (see example in the private content). We had a mobile page speed before the update between 85 and 95 for almost all pages.
We also had to deactivate the WPRocket Option “Optimize CSS Delivery” after the update because css was lost.

Normally we don’t encounter any problems with the update, but it this case it cause serious trouble :-/.

    Hi,

    – The picture size is the same for more than 2 years and didn’t changed. So this can’t be the problem.

Please note that the criteria used by the PageSpeed Insights tool can change over time, so your score now might be different compared to previous years. Anyway, we noticed that the Enfold > Performance > File Compression settings are disabled. What happens when you enable this feature?

Also, try temporarily disabling the dynamic content feature by setting the Enfold > Layout Builder > Custom Layout and Dynamic Content settings to the first option. Let us know if this improves your score.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
