Hi Support,
Long time no see! Just upgraded support for 12 months :-)
I have two problems with the theme which I’m struggling to solve:1. When updating any of the Theme settings, especially the CSS, the dynamic_avia folder also auto-empties. I’ve been saving a copy of the CSS from that folder locally (approx 114 files), so that when it clears I can replace the files. If it is not replaced the site looses all styling until the files are replaced. Recently, updating a plugin also has the same effect of clearing the dynamic_avia folder. To note, I don’t remember having this issue before the dynamic_avia folder was introduced. Question, why does this folder get cleared. Is there a fix/better solution than saving a copy of the files each time?
2. The second issue refers to the use of the ‘Classic Editor’ plugin. All ‘Pages’ on the site are created using the ALB builder. All WooCommerce ‘Products’ on the site use the Default editor. The Classic Editor plugin facilitates this. The error occurs when I make multiple updates/saves to Products or Pages or Posts. The action of saving and resaving seems to cause certain random Products (86 in total) to flip from the Default Editor to the ALB editor. The products affected are mostly random and the quantity ranges from 1-3 products. Manually changing the products back to the Default editor fixes the problem, until the next time updates are made. Question, any ideas why and how this occurring, and is there a fix.
Apart from that, all’s good and I’m still enjoying using Enfold, now for more than 12 years! :-)
Best regards,

Thank you for your inquiry and for being a long-time user of Enfold.
1.) Did you enable the Enfold > Performance > Delete Old CSS And JS Files option? This setting is designed to remove old or unused css and js files from the dynamic_avia folder. If you’re already using a third-party compression plugin or have enabled compression options within your cache plugin, please make sure that you disable the theme’s file compression settings to avoid unexpected behavior.
2.) We haven’t encountered this error before, so we’re not sure what could be causing it. However, you can revert back to the Classic Editor by adjusting the Enfold > Theme Options > Select Your Editor settings, which means you no longer require the plugin.

Thanks for the reply and tips.
1. No, the “Delete Old CSS And JS Files” is turned off. The Theme’s file compression settings are disabled. Would debug log(s) help? As described the action can be repeated in a number of ways.
2. WP Classic editor is selected in the Theme options. The Classic Editor plugin allows you to choose which editor on different post types and is a WordPress built plugin; it has worked fine on the site since inception; perhaps in the last 6 months the error started. Yesterday we were able to recreate this error by editing the home page and saving. The same WooCommerce product changed from Classic to ALB in three tests. Today we repeated it with debug on. Our tech guys are having a look into why the database is changing.

PaulMarch 8, 2024 at 7:27 am #1436696Hi,
Thank you for the update.
1.) We cannot reproduce the same issue on our end, so it is likely related to a plugin or a custom script on your server. Have you tried to temporarily disable the plugins? Did you install another compression plugin recently? Please try deactivating the Enfold > Performance > File Compression settings and see if the issue persists.
2.) It’s possible that the plugin conflicts with the Select Your Editor settings. Have you tried disabling the plugin temporarily?
Best regards,
