Can you give advice on whether there are known issues jumping from 5.4 to 5.6.9
Also, how do I get the update process to work – the theme update process is checking for updates, but it is not recognising that updates are available.

Hey Rob,
There are no known issues, but I would recommend that you keep current backups of your site before updating anyway.
If the updates are not coming through on the backend, then please make sure that you have registered your theme license and generate a token: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/. If that should not work, then please try using this plugin instead: https://envato.com/market-plugin/
