    Hi,

We have found out that here are a bug with the accordion.
If we set the accordion behaviour to be “Multiple toggles open allowed (Toggle Mode)” in the backend and you are on the frontend and click on a accordion, it scrolls to the top of the page.

But if we choose “Only one toggle open at a time (Accordion Mode)” it works. Can you maybe look into this with a new update to the theme?

I have added a test link so you can see it.

    Hey mvi,

Sorry for the late reply. I’m not able to reproduce the problem on a test site, please see private. Did you try deactivating all plugins and remove any customisations you might have added?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hello Rikard,

If i give you access to our site, can you maybe take a look at it?

    Hi mvi,

Please give us temporary admin access, so we can try to see the issue further.
Just post the credentials in private content.

    Best regards,

    Hi mvi,

Thanks, can you give the login link as well? I tried the default and common ones but that didn’t seem to help.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hey,

Sorry about that, i have posted the link in the private section.

    Hi,

Thanks for that. The problem goes away when the parent theme is active, so the problem is coming from your child theme. Please try removing all your customisations from the child theme, then add them back one by one to see when the problem starts again.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

I have just tried remove all CSS from the backend and see if that would fix it.
It did not, i still get the error when i click on the first accordion “Kategori A2 – Kan udstedes til”.

    Hi,

It’s unlikely that CSS is causing this problem, make sure to remove everything from all files in the child theme. Like functions.php for example.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

I have also tried that but it do still not work :-/

    Hi,

Do you have backup of your child theme? If so, then we can try to remove the code for you. You might want to share the backup with us as well.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hello Rikard,

I have created a staging site for this. Can you do the testing on that instead?
Login are the same as before.

    Hi,

Thanks for that. I removed all the code from the files in your child theme, and it’s working as expected after that.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,

Well when i click on the first accordion it still make the error, i can send a screen recording if you want to see what happens?

    Hi,

I see the problem on my end too, but we cannot reproduce it on test installations. Could you try to completely delete the theme files, then upload a fresh copy to see if that helps please? Also please try to deactivate and Kinsta caching/CDN etc, to see if the problem is related to that.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    #1431486

    Hi,

We cant deactivate Kinsta caching/CDN becuase it is running on our hosting and how should we completely delete the theme files?

    #1431494

    Hi,

You can delete the theme files by removing it from Appearance->Themes, or via FTP. Why is it not possible to disable features at your hosting service? Did you try reaching out to them about that?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    #1431508

I can try to ask them and you want the theme completely delete from the site or just deactived?

    #1431509

Update: On Staging environments, all the cache types are disabled by default.
CDN and Edge Caching are not available or present on Staging, so that’s disabled as well

So Kinsta CDN/cache are not active on the staging

    Hi,
Thank you for your patience and the link to your staging site, as Rikard had noted above if the parent theme is activated then the error with the accordion jumping to the top of the page when clicked doesn’t occur. I don’t know why this is, but I created a new child theme for you and enabled it and the error doesn’t occur, please check the /motorcykel-testside/ page linked below. I checked on Windows in Chrome, Firefox, & Edge

    Best regards,
    Mike

I see no errors, but what did you do to fix it beside add a new child theme?

    #1431803

    Hi,
Glad that this have helped, I only added a new child theme.
I don’t know what was wrong with your old child theme as I didn’t see any issues in it, I believe that this points to a caching issue.
Nonetheless with the new child theme you site now doesn’t have the error, so I imagine that we close this thread then?

    Best regards,
    Mike
