Hi,
I bought the regular licence, using the theme on one website (in progress – not live yet).
Can I use the theme on another, second website as well (different domain)? Or would I have o buy the theme a second time? In that case I would rather user any free theme.Thank you
December 28, 2023 at 5:49 pm #1428965Hi,
Each domain requires a separate license so you would need to purchase a new license. You can read more about licensing at https://themeforest.net/licenses/standard.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

You can create staging sites and test sites on subdomains and then in the future move the site to a new domain with a new license.
Often developers will build a new site for their clients on their own subdomain and then once the client approves the site they will have the client purchase a new license, creating a client owned Envato (Theme Forest) account so the client will have access to future updates, and then move the approved site to the client domain. This will solve any future update issues the client may have should they lose touch with you.
In the past some developers would purchase the license with their account and give the code to the client, but then many years later when Envato changed their license method from the “API” to the “Token” these clients were not able the create the “Token” because they never had a Envato account, only the purchase code and Envato will not transfer licenses, so the client had to purchase a new license in an account that they have access to.Best regards,

I will try to use an example to explain better,
If your current live site and license is on “mysite.com”
then you can use as many copies on the subdomains like “stagingsite.mysite.com” “test.mysite.com” “newsite.mysite.com”
when you move to your new domain like “mynewsite.com” then you will need to purchase a new license,
you can purchase the new license a few days after you move it, just don’t include your “token” from your first license in the Enfold Theme Options ▸ Theme Update ▸ Enter a valid Envato private token on the new domain.
I hope thie helps.Best regards,

No, not that way, do it this way:
first site ▸ mysite.com
second site ▸ mysecondsite.mysite.com
third site ▸ mythirdsite.mysite.com
Then when you are ready to go live for mysecondsite & mythirdsite you can move then to their domains and purchase a license. To easily move these I recommend the plugin Duplicator, see the video on the plugin page if you have not used this plugin before, it is quite easy to use. Thanks and Happy New Year :)
Best regards,
